Regular applications of Athena® IPM reduce vectors for contamination and control populations if an outbreak occurs.
Kills on contact
On contact with pests, IPM dissolves the pest’s protective membrane and desiccates (dries out) the pest. Pests cannot build up resistance to this mechanical action.
3 Modes of action
1. Smother
Natural plant oils cover and smother eggs, juveniles and adults by blocking breathing holes.
2. Dessicate
Dissolves and dries out (desiccates) insect and fungal outer protective membranes.
3. Prevent
Volatile organic compounds (VOC) in natural oils deter pests from the plant surface.
